Integrity   Leadership   Experience

I'm running for re-election for a second term as your Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner. My goal is to make our historic neighborhood greener, safer, cleaner in this COVID world.

I've fought hard on your behalf for open transparent government. I've urged our ANC to change, reach out and listen to the people who live in our neighborhoods.

I started my career doing work for the Office of the Public Defender. For three decades as a lawyer I've represented mostly women with children, often being faced with foreclosure or eviction.  My career for 30 years reflects my values.

I don't represent lobbyists or big developers. I represent you. I ask for your vote to re-elect me November 3.

Take care/Stay safe,

ED Hanlon

ED'S MESSAGE

August 15, 2020

Why we support ED

“By standing for integrity and transparency in our local government, Ed Hanlon is a much-needed voice on ANC 2B. Ed has been an excellent commissioner committed to the needs of his constituents and responsive to their concerns. We urge voters to return him for a second term. The neighborhood needs Ed!”

Ronnie Jill Kweller and Barton H. Turner

Community Activists back ED

"In the past two years, ANC Commissioner Ed Hanlon has often been the sole voice fighting for honesty, transparency, and openness on the ANC, so that Dupont residents have a voice in decisions that affect their lives.  And no ANC Commissioner has worked harder to get the neighborhood’s rat problem under control.  I sincerely hope he is reelected.”    Kerry Kemp

“Ed is the moral conscience of the Dupont Circle ANC, helping all people in every district, and unafraid of taking on big development interests.”    Louise Levathes
